Role Overview

Financial Accountant at Holiday Inn and Suites Dubai Science Park, operated by IHG Hotels and Resorts, based in Dubai.

Role Purpose

Maintain accurate financial records and reporting for the property by managing reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, and month-end closing processes while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Reconciliations

• Prepare and review journals, reconciliations, and month-end financial reports.
• Monitor balance sheet accounts, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with month-end closing and asset reporting.

Financial Operations & Controls

• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Support payroll audits, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

Team Support

• Supervise the Accounts team in the absence of the Finance & Business Support Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree, higher education qualification, or equivalent in Accounting or Finance.
• Three years of accounting experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
• Fluent English.
