FINANCE MANAGER

Role Overview

Finance Manager at NMDC Group. This senior management position involves evaluating, planning and developing long-range financial goals and objectives, and managing resources to ensure consistent implementation of financial systems, policies and procedures while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements.

Role Purpose

Lead financial operations and strategy across corporate and project portfolios. Maintain fiscal integrity of company resources, direct financial reporting to regulatory authorities, manage risk and insurance programs, and provide financial analysis and guidance to support organizational decision-making and performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning

• Evaluate and develop long-range plans, goals and objectives
• Develop and direct specific strategies for set objectives
• Analyze changes in assessed valuation and earnings on investments to project cash flow
• Improve operations, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes and quality customer service

Financial Management & Analysis

• Research, analyse and interpret financial transactions, data, legislative information and economic and market conditions
• Maintain the fiscal integrity of the company's financial resources
• Analyze and interpret financial data to yield timely, accurate financial information and improve overall performance
• Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting and collecting procedures and investment activities
• Provide projects-based financial analysis and offer fiscal advice and guidance to support the project team in making the best decisions

Corporate Financial Operations

• Confer with bankers, consultants and other stakeholders on debt programs and funding policies
• Monitor the company's issuance of credit, establish credit-rating criteria and determine credit ceilings
• Plan and direct risk and insurance programs to minimize risks and losses
• Direct insurance negotiations
• Represent the CFO at meetings in his absence

Reporting & Compliance

• Direct the preparation of reports required by regulatory authorities for overseas projects
• Direct the preparation of accurate financial reports in a timely manner as required by management and other regulatory authorities
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and other regulatory requirements
• Manage quarterly and annual audits including year-end procedures in conjunction with statutory requirements to ensure accounts comply with the regulatory framework
• Manage the implementation of new financial processes, policies and procedures in order to meet the organization's financial and business strategies

Project Financial Oversight

• Maintain oversight of the project's overall financial performance and cash flow control
• Manage cost control process including closely monitoring all costs incurred against work budget, analyse variances and identify areas for improvement
• Support project operations in risk management process through identification, assessment, mitigation and development of contingency plans
• Actively collaborate with Project Managers to ensure that project financial objectives are met

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

• Attend divisional meetings to provide direction and advice in resolving financial issues
• Build relations with internal and external stakeholders through effective, proactive and regular communication
• Manage team dynamics, motivation, professional and career development roadmap
• Responsible for managing the team

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum 12 years' experience in Accounting and Finance in related industries
• CPA or MBA in Accounting is an advantage
