Role Purpose

As a Field Service Engineer - Mechanical Heavy-Duty Gas Turbine, you will advise and counsel for pre-defined maintenance activities. Service includes testing, adjustment, programming and similar services as agreed upon with the Headquarters Technical Assistance team. You will support customers throughout the lifecycle of covered units, from installation through ongoing operation and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection and Diagnostics

• Handle mechanical inspections including CI, HGPI and MI for heavy-duty gas turbines and auxiliaries.
• Perform laser alignments and borescope inspections on all machines.
• Perform geometric dimensional checks of foundation, equipment and auxiliaries' skids positioning, levelling, and alignment to ensure levelness and elevations of sub-sole plates and contact checks between sub-sole plates and package supports.
• Support end users operation and maintenance staff with diagnostics counselling and addressing maintenance and operational issues on covered units.

Maintenance Planning and Execution

• Plan and prepare schedules with the customer for all planned maintenance activities.
• Perform major inspections and overhauling on HDGT models Fr 5/2, Fr 6B, Fr 7E and/or Fr 9E.
• Take lead in discussions with customers for plan and implementation of any mechanical-related NICs/TILs with close follow-up until completion.
• Maintain documented history of all mechanical modifications for covered units.

Technical Support and Commissioning

• Provide required technical expertise to perform troubleshooting and address technical queries from end users in collaboration with the technical support team.
• Advise on interpretation of drawings for installation optimization.
• Handle new unit erection, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of gas turbines and auxiliaries including lube oil system, starting system, fuel gas system, filter house, and online/offline water wash systems.

Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare effective and quality field service reports.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• More than 7+ years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Power, Refinery, or Turbomachinery industries.
• Ability to perform major inspections and overhauling on HDGT models Fr 5/2, Fr 6B, Fr 7E and/or Fr 9E.
• Ability to perform laser alignments and borescope inspections on all machines.
