Role Overview

Fabricator at NOV, fabricating heavy structures and components for oil and gas projects.

Role Purpose

Prepare, cut, grind, and assemble heavy structural fabrications including masts, substructures, and mud systems to specification and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Marking and Layout

• Mark layouts for fabrication of heavy structures such as masts, substructures, and mud systems.

Cutting and Bevelling

• Cut and bevel materials including beams, tubing, channels, and angles using gas torch with appropriate nozzle selection.
• Grind bevels and edges to proper angle specifications.

Quality and Inspection

• Check quantity and sizes of received material from the prep shop.
• Perform measurements using tapes, fabrication tools, and weld gauges.

Safety and Housekeeping

• Maintain workplace cleanliness and safe handling of all materials.
• Maintain adherence to safety regulations and company safety rules.

General Operations

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3+ years of fabrication experience in oil and gas projects.
• High school (10th pass) or equivalent.
• Experience working with fabrication tools.
