Role Overview
Egis Group seeks an Estimator – Infrastructure to join Waagner Biro Bridge Services in the UAE. The successful candidate will prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for infrastructure projects across the region.

Role Purpose
To prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for infrastructure projects including roads, utilities, drainage networks, potable water networks, sewerage systems, irrigation works, and associated civil works. The role ensures competitive bids through thorough analysis, risk assessment, and value engineering while maintaining compliance with company procedures and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Estimate Development
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
- Develop accurate cost estimates for infrastructure projects including roads and highways, earthworks, utilities and service diversions, stormwater drainage networks, sewerage and potable water networks, irrigation systems, road furniture, and associated civil works.
- Prepare rate build-ups for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and temporary works.
- Maintain and update historical cost databases and productivity norms.
Commercial & Procurement
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Analyze tender risks, opportunities, and commercial considerations.
- Assist in value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
Document & Process Management
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contractual requirements.
- Prepare tender clarifications and respond to client queries.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and client requirements during the tendering process.
Coordination & Support
- Conduct site visits where required to assess project conditions and constraints.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and construction teams during bid preparation.
- Support management in bid reviews and tender submission processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of UAE estimation experience in infrastructure projects.
- Mandatory hands-on experience using Candy Estimation Software.
- Proven experience in preparing complete tender estimates independently.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity take-off techniques.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent analytical and commercial acumen.
