Role Overview
Estimator - Bridges at Egis Group, based in Dubai, UAE. This is a pre-contract estimation and tendering role exclusively focused on new bridge construction projects.

Role Purpose
To prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for new bridge construction projects, including flyovers, interchanges, and elevated structures, ensuring accurate pricing, value optimization, and successful bid outcomes during the pre-contract tendering phase.
Key Responsibilities
Estimation & Costing
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for new bridge construction projects.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs for all bridge components including foundations (piles, pile caps), substructure (piers, abutments), and superstructure (deck slabs, girders, post-tensioned elements).
- Develop comprehensive rate analysis for bridge-specific activities, including precast segmental construction, launching girder operations, and specialized formwork and temporary works.
- Conduct value engineering and cost optimization exercises during tender stage.
Documentation & Analysis
- Review and interpret IFC drawings, specifications, and tender documents specific to bridge works.
- Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions in line with client requirements.
- Develop strong command of BOQ preparation, rate build-ups, and tendering procedures.
Coordination & Procurement
- Coordinate with engineering, planning, and procurement teams to obtain accurate inputs for pricing.
- Evaluate and finalize subcontractor and supplier quotations for specialized bridge works.
Tender Management
- Support in tender clarifications, negotiations, and bid finalization.
- Handle multiple tenders under tight deadlines.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 7+ years of UAE experience specifically in estimation of bridge construction projects.
- Proven experience with main contractors executing bridge and highway infrastructure projects.
- Strong expertise in bridge construction methodologies including cast-in-situ, precast, segmental, and post-tensioning.
- Experience with temporary works and specialized construction equipment.
- Familiarity with UAE authority standards (RTA, DOT, ADM, etc.).
