Role Purpose
As a Building & Engineering Supervisor, you play a vital role in ensuring properties deliver an experience beyond expectation, creating memorable moments for guests. You support the smooth running of the property maintenance department where all areas are maintained to the highest levels.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance
- Support the smooth running of the property maintenance department, maintaining all areas to the highest standards
- Deliver an effective planned preventative maintenance programme addressing maintenance, environmental and conservation matters
- Work proactively to improve guest satisfaction and comfort, delivering positive and timely responses to guest enquiries
Performance & Strategic Delivery
- Deliver on plans and objectives where property maintenance initiatives and hotel targets are achieved
- Responsible for the departmental budget, ensuring that costs and inventory are controlled and that productivity and performance levels are attained
Team Leadership
- Manage the maintenance team, fostering a culture of growth, development and performance within the department
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in property maintenance with excellent problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent managerial skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
- Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
- Hotel industry experience is preferred
