Role Overview
Engineering Coordinator at Accor. This role supports the Engineering Department at a hotel property, serving as a liaison between Engineering and other departments to coordinate maintenance, administrative tasks, and operational priorities.
Role Purpose
To coordinate maintenance requests, administrative operations, and departmental workflows, ensuring timely completion of work orders, accurate payroll and purchasing management, and alignment between Engineering and other hotel departments.
Key Responsibilities
Coordination & Liaison
- Serve as a key liaison between Engineering and other hotel departments, helping coordinate requests, priorities, planned work, and follow-up
- Coordinate maintenance work orders, ensuring requests are appropriately dispatched, tracked, followed up, and closed in a timely manner
- Relays task and project updates to the department concerned
Task & Project Management
- Assist Engineering leaders with the prioritization and assignment of daily tasks to Engineers and Technicians
- Ensure the daily tasks and projects of team members are completed in a timely manner
Financial & Administrative Management
- Assist the Chief Engineer in planning for the investment, project and replacement budget on a yearly basis
- Complete daily timekeeping and payroll tasks for the Engineering Department, ensuring information is accurate and discrepancies are followed up promptly
- Coordinate departmental purchasing administration, including purchase requests, purchase orders, invoices, receiving documentation, vendor information, and month-end requirements
Compliance & Sustainability
- Handle the sustainability projects of the property and ensure compliance with local government regulations
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in an administrative or coordinator role
- Experience within Engineering, Facilities, Maintenance, Property Management, or Hotel Operations is preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams
- Experience with work-order, property-management, purchasing, payroll, or facilities-management systems considered an asset
