Core activities span power and water projects, transmission and distribution projects, building construction (industrial and commercial) projects, and electro-mechanical projects.

Role Purpose

Conduct commissioning and testing on power plants prior to their operational phase, ensuring equipment and systems meet specifications and safety standards before handover to clients.

Key Responsibilities

Testing and Commissioning

• Execute site testing and commissioning activities for power plants and substations.
• Conduct functional testing according to specified schemes.
• Test and commission substation equipment, including relays, switchgear, transformers, and related apparatus.
• Coordinate testing activities during customer inspections.
• Resolve technical issues arising during power plant testing and site commissioning.
• Adhere to all safety procedures during testing and commissioning activities.

Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare project and new equipment test reports, including updates and corrections.
• Document non-conformances and troubleshooting efforts.
• Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.

Technical Support and Design Review

• Review design documents before release to provide technical support.

Quality and Process Improvement

• Initiate continuous improvement initiatives and maintain records in consultation with the department manager.
• Initiate corrective and preventive actions and maintain records in consultation with the department manager.

Team Leadership and Development

• Train subordinates and form effective teams.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
• Delegate assignments to subordinates.
• Ensure fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale and motivation.

Delivery and Performance

• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets per delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time parameters.

Problem-Solving and Escalation

• Resolve related operational problems.
• Escalate complex operational issues appropriately.

Business Process Improvement and Compliance

• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities.
• Comply with related policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Fresher to 2 years of work experience.
