Role Overview
Engineer, Testing & Commissioning at alfanar, Central location. This role is responsible for commissioning and conducting tests on power plants prior to their operational phase.

Role Purpose
Conduct commissioning and testing activities on power plants and substations prior to operational phase, ensuring all equipment functions according to specifications and all work meets safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Testing and Functional Activities
- Conduct functional testing according to specified schemes.
- Execute site testing and commissioning activities on power plants and substations.
- Perform testing and commissioning of substation equipment, including relays, switchgear, transformers, and related components.
- Test and coordinate activities during customer inspections.
- Resolve technical issues that arise during power plant testing and site commissioning.
- Adhere to all safety procedures during testing and commissioning activities.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare project and new equipment test reports, including updates and corrections.
- Ensure documentation of non-conformances and troubleshooting efforts.
- Provide periodic reports detailing deviation and execution of planned tasks.
Technical Support and Design Review
- Provide technical support by reviewing design documents before their release.
Quality and Process Improvement
- Initiate continuous improvement initiatives and maintain records in consultation with the department manager.
- Initiate corrective and preventive actions and maintain records in consultation with the department manager.
Team Leadership and Development
- Train subordinates and form teams to execute work effectively.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
- Delegate assignments to subordinates based on respective capabilities.
- Ensure fair distribution of tasks to maintain subordinate morale and motivation.
Delivery and Resource Management
- Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets according to delivery schedules.
- Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time parameters.
Problem-Solving and Escalation
- Resolve related operational problems as they arise.
- Escalate complex operational issues appropriately.
Business Process and Compliance
- Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and identify automation opportunities.
- Comply with all related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 0-2 years of work experience (Fresher level).
