Role Overview
Emirati Engineering Associate at Johnson Controls, based in the United Arab Emirates. This role is part of the Emirati Engineering Program, a two-year initiative designed to develop future leaders in engineering and technical sales across the Middle East and Africa region.

Role Purpose
The program comprises six assignments over two years, fast-tracking your skills, knowledge, and experience across key technical areas including Installation and Service Operations and Technical Sales (Pre-Sales, Inside Sales, and Front Line Sales). You will develop hands-on project contributions that make a real impact on the business while building a clear career path towards leadership roles.
Key Responsibilities
Installation and Service Operations
- Grasp engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to support technical work.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues on equipment and systems.
- Set up and calibrate systems during equipment installation.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and repairs.
- Communicate technical solutions clearly to customers.
- Engage with engineers, technicians, and cross-functional teams on collaborative projects.
Technical Sales
- Understand the specifications and benefits of Johnson Controls offerings.
- Build and nurture client relationships through customer relationship management.
- Simplify complex concepts and present them effectively to non-technical customers.
- Close sales deals with confidence using negotiation skills.
- Identify client needs and industry trends through market analysis.
- Craft tailored solutions for clients by applying problem-solving capabilities.
- Understand pricing models and competitor analysis to inform sales strategy.
- Work seamlessly with marketing, engineering, and customer support teams.
Customer Engagement
- Meet clients across the region to gain customer-facing experience.
- Positively influence the environment and contribute to sustainability, society, and future generations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Sustainability Engineering, or related fields.
- Must be a UAE national with a family book.
- Passion for pursuing an engineering-based career.
- Previous internship experience in related fields is a plus.
