Role Purpose

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician, you will troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform visual inspection of mechanical assemblies. You will assist in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment and perform all tests with minimal instruction.

Key Responsibilities

Testing and Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Analyze and interpret data from environmental tests.
• Test and evaluate the performance of general purpose test equipment.
• Repair general purpose test equipment if required.

Assembly and Inspection

• Review procedures for assembly, disassembly and test verification accuracy.
• Assemble and disassemble mechanical assemblies.
• Perform visual inspection of mechanical assemblies.
• Repair and modify non-conforming equipment.

Configuration and Setup

• Configure test stations and systems.
• Assist in the set-up of experiments.
• Record experimental data in collaboration with Engineering and Reliability groups.

Leadership and Compliance

• Provide leadership and coaching to other technicians in areas of proven competence.
• Work in compliance with HS&E policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Two-year technical diploma or Associate's degree in Electrical/Electronics field or higher.
• At least two years of related experience in electro-mechanical function in oil and gas industry or domain.

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced skills in soldering, assembling and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical devices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints and parts lists.
• Proficiency in the use of measurement and gauging equipment and processes.
• Proficiency in the use of multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers and other basic instruments.
• Strong written and oral English skills.
