Role Purpose

Lead the engineering team responsible for the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all electrical utilities and facility systems within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Ensure system integrity, compliance, energy efficiency, and uninterrupted support to production and critical utilities, excluding direct responsibility for process equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Regulation

• Ensure all electrical work complies with GMP, GDP, and pharmaceutical validation requirements.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local and international electrical codes.

Operations & Maintenance

• Oversee the operation, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of MV switchgear, transformers, RMUs, and main distribution systems.
• Ensure reliable electrical supply for HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, air compressors, and vacuum systems.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead and develop a team of electrical engineers, technicians, and contractors.

Projects & Technical Management

• Lead installation, commissioning, modification, and expansion projects for facility and utility electrical systems.
• Review and approve technical specifications.
• Proven experience managing projects, contractors, and budgets.

Continuous Improvement & Risk Management

• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical failures.
• Develop mitigation plans, redundancy concepts, and emergency response procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's is a plus).
• 8–12 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• At least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
• Experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotech, food, or similar manufacturing environment.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of MV, LV, and Low-Current systems design, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems (Maximo, SAP PM, etc.).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
