Role Overview
Electrical Site Manager at Hitachi Energy Systems LLC, located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Full-time position.
Role Purpose
Lead all on-site activities of a project to assure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements during start-up, construction, erection, commissioning, and maintenance phases.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Coordination
- Plan project on-site activities with the project manager, including necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones.
- Coordinate agreement between customer and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy.
- Coordinate all on-site activities from receiving the assigned site area to handover on completion day to ensure successful execution of start-up, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and local organizations such as authorities, banks, and suppliers.
- Ensure active support of field activities through relationship management.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure detailed and up-to-date construction Health & Safety plan is in place for each work package, compliant with Hitachi Energy HSE plan.
- Ensure all on-site resources are properly trained on company health, safety, and environment policy.
- Proactively promote health and safety across all site activities.
Equipment & Logistics
- Ensure correct handling, storage, and installation of Hitachi Energy-delivered equipment.
- Coordinate on-site storage and shipment logistics to secure timely site delivery of equipment and material.
Subcontractor Management
- Manage sub-contractors on site hired by Hitachi Energy to ensure necessary quality and progress are achieved to meet delivery date.
Cost Management
- Control project cost for site work.
- Monitor actual spend against forecasts.
- Estimate final cost for site work.
- Manage petty cash and exercise delegated authority for local purchasing within agreed limits.
Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all documentation is modified and updated as necessary.
- Maintain the document handling system and ensure latest revisions are used for construction work on site.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in electrical power, electronics, or communication.
- 8 to 10 years of project experience in related fields.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Planning skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to communicate with people at all levels.
- Proven leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
