Electrical Engineer

Role Overview

Electrical Engineer at MIRA Construction L.L.C. The role is based on-site at the Project Office and Construction Site.

Role Purpose

Design, implement, and manage electrical systems across construction projects while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to oversee electrical aspects of project execution and guarantee all installations meet safety and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Documentation

• Design, develop, and review electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, and low voltage systems.
• Prepare accurate electrical drawings, specifications, and documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams on electrical design and implementation matters.

Site Supervision & Quality Assurance

• Conduct site inspections and supervise electrical installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during all electrical work.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and provide technical support during project implementation.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure adherence to UAE regulations and international standards such as IEC, NEC, and BS standards.

Testing & Commissioning

• Support testing and commissioning activities of electrical systems.

Project Management

• Maintain project schedules and report on progress related to electrical works.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical engineering within construction projects in the UAE.
• Experience with power distribution, lighting, and low voltage systems design and implementation.
• Relevant professional certification is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency in electrical design software.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations (IEC, NEC, BS, UAE standards).
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with construction site practices and project management principles.
