Electrical Engineer/ Draftsman

Role Overview

Electrical Engineer/Electrical Draftsman at MIRA Construction. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electrical drafting and BIM modelling, with hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit and a solid understanding of MEP systems.

Role Purpose

Prepare detailed electrical drawings, models and technical documentation while coordinating electrical designs across multidisciplinary project teams and ensuring compliance with project specifications through BIM workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Documentation

• Prepare detailed electrical drawings, layouts, shop drawings and technical documentation.
• Prepare 2D drawings and technical details using AutoCAD.
• Prepare electrical layouts including lighting, power, containment and other related systems.
• Support project teams with technical drawings, quantity information and documentation as required.
• Ensure drawings and models are updated according to project revisions.

BIM Modelling & Coordination

• Develop and modify electrical models using Revit MEP.
• Develop and maintain BIM models in accordance with project requirements.
• Review drawings and models for accuracy, coordination and compliance with project specifications.
• Identify and resolve design clashes using BIM coordination workflows.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural and other MEP disciplines.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer, Electrical Draftsman, MEP BIM Modeller or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Good understanding of electrical building services and MEP coordination.
• Experience preparing electrical shop drawings and detailed layouts.
• Experience working with BIM models and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
• UAE/GCC project experience will be an advantage.
