Dynamics AX Functional Consultant for Qatar

Role Overview

Dynamics AX Functional Consultant for Qatar at VAM Systems. The position is based in Qatar, where the selected candidate will be deployed to one of the leading banks in the country.

Role Purpose

To provide expert functional consulting on Dynamics AX implementations, guiding clients through system configuration, process design, testing, and training to align enterprise software with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Configuration & Mapping

• Map and configure clients' business requirements into Dynamics AX.
• Perform configuration and process flow simulations to the customer.
• Establish in-depth familiarity across areas from module setup to closing cycles and reconciliations.

Requirements & Analysis

• Define expert-level requirements for software solutions.
• Perform gap analysis between system functionality and client requirements.
• Understand industry-specific business cycles for related modules.

Documentation & Communication

• Communicate and document system specifications for clients and team members.
• Prepare user manuals and training materials for customers.
• Provide periodic status reports and accurate estimates and timelines of work.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Document test scenarios and perform unit, system, and data conversion testing tasks.

Training & Support

• Provide customer training on related modules.
• Support developers as questions or issues arise.

Process Improvement

• Suggest and implement leading practices and process improvements.
• Participate in all stages of the lifecycle in multiple AX implementation projects.

Team Collaboration

• Work in a team environment and add to the team's knowledge base and AX experience.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in key Dynamics AX modules.
• Minimum one end-to-end ERP implementation experience.
• Must have handled at least 3 on-site implementations.
• Must have implementation experience in GCC countries.
• Familiarity with Sure Step methodology and documentation artifacts.
• Client-facing experience is a plus.
