Driver

Role Overview

Driver position at AWR Group. The role ensures safe and timely transport of all goods and services to support customer satisfaction and location target achievement.

Role Purpose

To transport goods and services safely and on time, moving vehicles through workshop operations, managing deliveries and collections, and providing transportation for staff, customers and visitors to maintain operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Movement & Workshop Operations

• Greet customers and assist with test drives.
• Handle vehicle traffic in and around the showroom and workshop.
• Move customer vehicles at various stages of repair from receipt until delivery.
• Ensure efficient and safe movement of vehicles within the workshop, including to and from Workshop Reception, shop floor, parking areas and washing bays.
• Retrieve service and accident vehicles from the parking yard and transport to the respective work area upon receiving the key from the foreman.
• Return washed vehicles to the KNOP and park in the designated area.
• Install all courtesy items including steering cover, floor mat and seat cover in the customer vehicle.

Parking & Facility Management

• Ensure all vehicle keys are returned and kept in the specified place immediately after parking the vehicle.
• Maintain the reception parking area in a neat and organized manner with vehicles parked systematically.
• Ensure no vehicles remain parked in the reception parking area and KNOP area at the end of the day.

Parts & Logistics

• Collect and deliver parts to suppliers and other locations, ensuring items remain in good condition.
• Hand over proper invoicing and documentation upon parts transfer and delivery.
• Fill necessary logs for outside trips.

Transportation Services

• Transport technicians daily from company accommodation to and from the workplace.
• Transport VIP visitors, customers and staff to specified destinations when required.
• Collect and deliver vehicles from customer premises when necessary.
• Pick up new recruits from the airport and bring them to company accommodation.

Vehicle Maintenance & Administration

• Ensure periodic maintenance of workshop vehicles.
• Renew annual vehicle registration for workshop vehicles.
• Maintain vehicles in proper condition and uphold hygiene standards.
• Maintain self-discipline and personal vehicle condition.

Financial & Document Handling

• Collect cash and cheques from designated locations.
• Deposit cash and cheques to banks.
• Encash petty cash cheques.
• Hand over documents and cash to concerned personnel.
• Transmit HR and other relevant employee documents to and from HR.

Safety & Compliance

• Report to superior immediately in case of accident.
• Ensure workshop and personal safety procedures and requirements are strictly followed as per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain discipline in the service establishment through strict adherence to company rules, regulations and procedures.

Staff Support

• Assist new recruits with medical proceedings, Emirates ID application and other relevant matters.

Qualifications & Experience

• High School Graduate or Technical School Graduate.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in a reputable tyre or automotive brand.

Skills & Competencies

• Valid UAE Driving License for light and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Good knowledge of traffic rules and regulations.
• Communication skills.
• Customer oriented approach.
• People skills.
• Ability to read, understand and write English.
• Preferably Arabic speaking.
