Role Overview

Driver - Heavy Vehicle at Apparel Group. The role is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods using heavy vehicles between warehouses, retail outlets, and customer locations.

Role Purpose

Ensure compliance with transport regulations, vehicle safety standards, and company delivery procedures to support efficient logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Operation & Safety

• Operate heavy vehicles to transport goods as per assigned delivery schedules and routes.
• Ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and perform routine inspections before and after trips.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company transport policies.
• Comply with all regulatory requirements related to heavy vehicle operation, including licensing and rest periods.
• Assist in basic vehicle upkeep such as checking tire pressure, oil levels, and cleanliness.

Cargo Management

• Coordinate with the transport supervisor and warehouse teams for accurate loading and unloading of goods.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Support last-mile delivery coordination when required.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate delivery logs, fuel consumption records, and trip reports.
• Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or delays to the transport supervisor immediately.
• Handle documentation and communication related to delivery operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3–5 years of proven experience driving heavy vehicles in a logistics, warehouse, or distribution setting.
• Valid heavy vehicle driving license (Category 4 or equivalent).
• Familiarity with local routes, navigation tools, and basic vehicle troubleshooting.
