DRILLING SUPERVISOR

Role Overview

Drilling Supervisor at NMDC Group. Reports to Drilling Foreman or Barge Superintendent. This role oversees drilling and under reaming operations for offshore construction projects.

Role Purpose

Lead drilling and under reaming pile socket operations across various offshore structures including jackets, trestle piles, SBMS, breasting dolphins, mooring and anchor piles. Ensure all drilling equipment operates safely and efficiently, and maintain inventory and documentation standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

• Operate various drilling units including Wirth pile top units and Bowen machines.
• Conduct drilling and under reaming of pile sockets for offshore operations.
• Ensure all drilling tools are fully tested and operational at all times.

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

• Manage repair and maintenance of all drilling machines.
• Maintain rock bits for availability and operational condition; repair as required.
• Notify PMV or relevant department of any mechanical failures with proper follow-up.
• Report any malfunction or mechanical failure of drilling tools to Plant office.

Inventory & Documentation

• Maintain availability and condition of rock bits.
• Check drilling-related parts with main stores regularly.
• Advise NOD and Plant on stock levels.
• Maintain and update the NPCC Drilling Manual with latest information and inventory lists.

Qualifications & Experience

• Secondary Level School Education.
• Minimum 8 to 10 years experience in construction drilling.

Skills & Competencies

• Drilling equipment operation and maintenance.
• Good communication skills.
