Dredging Works Manager

Role Overview

Dredging Works Manager at NMDC Group. This role manages large-scale dredging operations and marine construction projects from planning through delivery.

Role Purpose

Lead and oversee all aspects of dredging operations, including capital dredging, maintenance dredging, reclamation, beach nourishment, breakwater, and port development projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and HSE regulations while optimizing productivity and cost performance.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Develop and implement project execution plans, work schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Monitor daily production, project progress, and operational performance to achieve project targets.
• Review hydrographic surveys, dredging progress reports, and production data to optimize operations.

Operations Management

• Coordinate the deployment and utilization of dredgers, support vessels, floating equipment, and plant.
• Resolve technical and operational challenges while maintaining project objectives.
• Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and productivity improvement initiatives.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, environmental regulations, and marine safety requirements.

Risk Management

• Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation measures.

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Supervise and mentor project teams, including Engineers, Superintendents, Surveyors, and Marine Supervisors.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare regular progress reports and present project updates to senior management and clients.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Coastal Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree is an advantage.
