Document Controller

Role Overview

Wood PLC is recruiting a Document Controller for the ADNOC Offshore US Gas Cap Phase 1 project. This role is based in the oil and gas sector and is responsible for managing and controlling all project documentation, ensuring compliance with company and client standards, and facilitating communication between contractors and clients.

Role Purpose

The Document Controller manages and controls all project documentation, ensuring compliance with company and client standards while facilitating communication between contractors and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Documentation Management

• Manage and maintain the project document control system in line with company procedures and client requirements.
• Ensure proper registration, distribution, tracking, and retrieval of documents.
• Ensure document traceability and secure storage of confidential records.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure timely submission and receipt of documentation.

Reporting & Administration

• Prepare transmittals, maintain logs, and generate reports on documentation status.

Compliance & Quality

• Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with QA/QC and project requirements.

Training & Development

• Train and support junior document controllers in following established procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor degree in any discipline from an accredited university or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Electronic Documentation Management Systems in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Projects.
• Extensive experience in document control within the oil and gas sector.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in document management systems.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and major client documentation requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
