Director of Sales

Role Overview

Director of Sales at IHG Hotels & Resorts. The role is responsible for driving sales activity and achieving targets across rooms, meeting suites, and banquet halls.

Role Purpose

Lead sales strategy and execution to maximize occupancy, average rates, and revenue across rooms, food and beverage, and banquet operations. Coach and manage a sales team to deliver measurable results and drive profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Team Management

• Manage daily sales activities and coach your team to deliver to their full potential.
• Hit all personal and team sales goals to help maximize profitability.

Sales Strategy & Planning

• Create and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, food and beverage and banquet sales.

Performance Monitoring

• Produce and review monthly reports to monitor performance.

Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree, higher education qualification, or equivalent in marketing or related field.
• Four or more years of experience in a hospitality or hotel sales and marketing setting with direct supervisory experience over a sales team.
• Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends required.

Skills & Competencies

• Must speak local language(s).
• Other languages preferred.
