Design Manager - Landscape and Irrigation

Role Overview

Design Manager - Landscape and Irrigation with WSP Middle East. The role supports the planning and delivery of high-quality public realm, landscape, and open space environments across a portfolio of large-scale developments.

Role Purpose

To manage landscape and irrigation design consultants and oversee the delivery of landscape, irrigation, and public realm design across major development projects, ensuring design quality, sustainability, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Design Management

• Manage landscape and irrigation design consultants throughout project delivery.
• Review landscape concepts, public realm strategies, and irrigation systems.
• Review hardscape, softscape, planting, and irrigation proposals.

Quality & Performance

• Monitor design quality, programme, and consultant performance.
• Lead technical reviews and stakeholder coordination meetings.

Coordination & Integration

• Coordinate landscape interfaces with architecture, infrastructure, utilities, and transportation elements.

Sustainability & Optimization

• Support sustainability and water conservation objectives.
• Support value engineering and lifecycle cost optimization initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Landscape Architecture or related discipline.
• 15+ years of experience in landscape design and project delivery.
• Experience on large-scale communities, mixed-use developments, or public realm projects.
• Strong understanding of irrigation systems and sustainable landscape design.
