Role Overview

Role Purpose

Design and engineer pressure vessels, storage tanks, and heat exchangers to ASME, API, and TEMA standards while ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco requirements and delivering complete project engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

• Design pressure vessels, storage tanks, and heat exchangers per ASME, API, and TEMA standards.
• Perform mechanical calculations using PV Elite, COMPRESS, or similar tools.
• Prepare nozzle loadings, supports, weld designs, and assembly drawings.
• Develop complete project engineering deliverables integrating all design documents.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco requirements and client-specific certifications.
• Maintain sound understanding of welding processes, weld joint design, and NDE/inspection requirements relevant to pressure equipment.

Deliverables Management

• Manage and review outsourced design deliverables.
• Support bid evaluations, scope reviews, and client clarifications.
• Manage multiple deliverables and outsourced inputs against project schedules.

Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection and material compliance.
• Provide fabrication support and resolve shop floor queries.
• Communicate and coordinate effectively across engineering, QA/QC, procurement, and fabrication teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in the design of pressure vessels, storage tanks, and/or heat exchangers within an EPC, fabrication, or oil & gas engineering environment.
• Prior experience on Saudi Aramco or similar major oil & gas client projects strongly preferred.
• Experience reviewing or managing outsourced/subcontracted design engineering deliverables is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong working knowledge of ASME Section VIII (Division 1 & 2), ASME Section II & IX, API 650/620/660/661, and TEMA standards.
• Proficiency in mechanical design and analysis software: PV Elite, COMPRESS, or equivalent pressure vessel and heat exchanger design tools.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or relevant 3D modeling software for drawing review and markup.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco engineering standards (SAES/SAEP series) and material specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with attention to detail in calculations and documentation.
