Role Overview

Data Privacy Officer at Majid Al Futtaim, MAF Entertainment, Head Office.

Role Purpose

Serve as the organization's Data Privacy Officer with responsibility, accountability, and oversight of data privacy compliance across all operating countries, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, internal policies, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Policy & Framework Development

• Implement and maintain data privacy policies, procedures, and frameworks aligned with local regulations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess risks, updating policies proactively.

Training & Awareness

• Lead privacy training, workshops, and awareness initiatives to promote a privacy-first culture.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, InfoSec, and business units to align on data protection strategies.
• Serve as advisor on lawful, ethical data processing across all operating countries.

Regulatory & Audit Management

• Act as the main contact for regulators, managing audits and data protection inquiries.

Records & Risk Assessment

• Maintain Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) and conduct DPIAs and privacy risk assessments.

Incident & Request Management

• Oversee incident management and data subject requests, ensuring compliance and proper resolution.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience in data privacy.
• Relevant certifications such as CIPM or CIPP/E (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of data privacy laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.

Skills & Competencies

• Experience with data protection tools (for example, Securiti.AI is a plus).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written English.
• Self-motivated, professional, proactive, and enthusiastic with strong work ethic.
