Role Purpose
Shape the future of data platforms by delivering modern, cloud-native engineering solutions that enable leading financial institutions to unlock the full value of their data. As a Senior Consultant, you will combine technical delivery with client engagement, helping organizations modernize their data landscape while mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to Capco's collaborative consulting culture.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development
- Design, develop and optimize scalable data pipelines and cloud-native data platforms using Snowflake and modern data engineering technologies.
- Build robust ELT/ETL solutions, integrating data from multiple enterprise sources while ensuring quality, security and governance.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, cost management and data modeling to deliver efficient, high-performing data platforms.
- Configure and deploy advanced Snowflake features and frameworks, including Snowpark, Dynamic Tables, Streams & Tasks, Snowpipe / Streaming ingestion, dbt Projects, and open table formats such as Apache Iceberg.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects and cross-functional delivery teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Support client engagements through technical leadership, solution design, mentoring team members and contributing to successful project delivery.
- Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management, communication and consulting skills with the ability to influence technical and business audiences.
Technical Leadership
- Lead technical workstreams within Agile delivery environments.
- Mentor junior colleagues on data engineering best practices and Snowflake expertise.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of Snowflake experience.
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data engineering solutions with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake.
- Proven track record building end-to-end ELT/ETL ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Experience with SQL, Python and modern cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, Iceberg open-table storage formats, data integration and data governance principles.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Experience with dbt, Apache Airflow, Kafka or other modern data engineering tools.
- Relevant Snowflake certifications or other cloud platform certifications (bonus).
- Exposure to financial services, banking, capital markets or insurance (bonus).
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (bonus).
- Previous consulting experience delivering complex client engagements (bonus).
