Credit Analyst

Role Overview

Credit Analyst at ADIB, based in Al Ain, UAE. This position is for UAE Nationals only.

Role Purpose

Provide full support to branches and Dedicated Service Units by reviewing and processing proposed finance applications in a timely fashion and within approved policies.

Key Responsibilities

Application Review & Processing

• Examine credit applications for completeness and timeliness of information, noting exceptions for correction.
• Prepare error-free credit documents.
• Observe agreed turnaround time.
• Escalate cases requiring higher decision-making with full analysis and recommendations to facilitate decision-making.

Financial Analysis

• Analyze bank statements to assess genuineness, continuity, business turnovers, cheque returns, and average balances.
• Observe for any chance of artificial fabrication of statements.
• Analyze applicant's financial statements and comment on findings where required.

Risk & Compliance

• Apply de-duplication vigilantly.
• Ensure compliance with policies and satisfactory risk rating.
• Check customer status through de-duplication and CBRB.
• Comply with and perform key operational controls as required in ADIB's policies and procedures in day-to-day operations.
• Proactively and continually make and recommend system changes and enhancements.
• Ensure that all procedures and policies are implemented and being followed in compliance with the organization.

Performance & Quality

• Meet minimum daily targets assigned by management while maintaining the lowest level of errors as measured by scorecard.
• Support business in achieving monthly budget and targets while maintaining highest quality portfolio.
• Contribute positively to daily underwriting activities.

Stakeholder Management

• Improve communication with branches and DSUs as internal customers.
• Provide constructive comments and feedback on proposed finance applications.
• Demonstrate full and up-to-date knowledge of ADIB's products, policies, and procedures.
• Demonstrate full team spirit and positive attitude.

Additional Duties

• Support business in capturing customers within acceptable parameters without violating Central Bank regulations.
• Perform any other responsibilities entrusted by ADIB Management from time to time and any other task assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of practical banking experience, preferably in finance and credit field.
• Detailed knowledge of ADIB's Retail Banking credit products and services.
• Broad knowledge of ADIB's Retail Credit and Operational Policies and Procedures.
• Good knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations, and risks.
