Cost Controller

Role Overview

Cost Controller at ABIS. This role is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting project costs against approved budgets, supporting accurate forecasting and cost control across the project.

Role Purpose

To maintain project cost control systems, track committed, actual, and forecast costs against approved budgets, and deliver accurate cost reporting and variance analysis to support project financial performance and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Control & Budgeting

• Maintain project cost control systems and cost breakdown structures.
• Track committed, actual, and forecast costs against the approved budget.
• Maintain cost coding and allocation in line with the project work breakdown structure (WBS).
• Track change orders and variations and their cost impact.

Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare periodic cost reports and variance analysis for management.
• Assist in preparation of monthly cost reports for client and management review.
• Support earned value management (EVM) calculations and reporting.

Forecasting & Planning

• Support preparation of project cash flow forecasts.
• Identify cost risks and trends and escalate to the Project Control Manager.

Coordination & Verification

• Coordinate with procurement and site teams to verify cost data accuracy.

Project Close-out

• Support close-out cost reconciliation and final account preparation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project cost control on EPC or construction projects.
