Role Overview

Coop Trainee position with The Apex Group in the Fund Services department, based in KSA. This is a full-time role reporting to the Senior Fund Accountant.

Role Purpose

Deliver comprehensive support to Fund Services teams by contributing across different roles, ensuring operational efficiency and meeting dynamic business demands while maintaining regulatory compliance and client service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Fund Administration

• Deliver comprehensive support to Fund Services teams by contributing across different roles, ensuring operational efficiency and meeting dynamic business demands.
• Review work performed by offshore teams and ensure its accuracy.
• Monitor cash flows to ensure sufficient liquidity for operations, investments and distribution.
• Work closely with closed-ended asset managers, property managers, and real estate developers to gather data and support fund operations.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Ensure timely submission of NAV to clients in line with the SLA signed by the clients.
• Maintain financial statements, ensuring they comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Ensure all work undertaken complies with the respective fund's terms and conditions, relevant regulatory requirements and anti-money laundering regulations.
• Maintain compliance with the firm's policies and procedures.

Stakeholder Management

• Promote excellent relationships with the company's clients.
• Communicate any issues of concern to the Line Manager(s).

General Duties

• Deputize if required during line manager's absence.
• Always follow company procedures.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong PC skills including Word, Excel and Macros in Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communications skills.
• Proactive and willing to drive things forward.
• Flexible in work approach due to nature of the role to meet client deliverables.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a pressurized environment.
• Capacity to problem-solve and ability to deal with complex issues.
• Ability to work to and meet agreed deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong educational background, preferably in accounting or finance.
