Commis III (Kitchen Helper)

Role Overview

Commis III (Kitchen Helper) at RISE Enterprise. This is an entry-level position supporting the kitchen team in food preparation, cooking assistance, and kitchen maintenance.

Role Purpose

Support cooks and chefs with basic food preparation, follow simple recipes and instructions, and maintain a clean, organized kitchen while developing foundational culinary skills.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation

• Wash, peel, cut, and prepare ingredients as instructed by the chef or cook.
• Assist in basic cooking tasks under the supervision of senior kitchen staff.

Kitchen Maintenance & Organization

• Keep the work station, tools, and equipment clean and organized at all times.
• Store food items correctly and follow proper labeling and rotation methods (FIFO).
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and cleaning standards set by the company and local health authorities.

Logistics & Reporting

• Help receive and unpack deliveries and move supplies within the kitchen.
• Report any equipment issues, low stock, or safety concerns to the supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

• No formal culinary education required.
• Little to no prior kitchen experience needed.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen tools and hygiene is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to work well under supervision in a team.
• Physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods.
