Commis I ( Italian Cuisine Experienced )

Role Overview

Commis I (Italian Cuisine Experienced) at RISE Enterprise. This is a kitchen-based position requiring strong independence in food preparation and cooking across a wide range of dishes, with responsibility for leading a kitchen section and guiding junior staff during service.

Role Purpose

Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes to company quality standards while taking full charge of an assigned kitchen section during service. This role bridges experienced Commis level work and Chef de Partie responsibilities, requiring minimal supervision and the ability to guide junior kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Cooking

• Prepare, cook, and plate a wide range of dishes to the company's quality standards.
• Take full charge of an assigned kitchen section during service with minimal supervision.
• Ensure consistency in taste, portion size, and presentation across all dishes served.

Stock & Resource Management

• Manage stock levels for the section, including ordering, storage, and minimizing waste.

Team Leadership & Training

• Guide, train, and supervise Commis II and Commis III / Kitchen Helpers.

Standards & Compliance

• Follow food safety, hygiene, and cleaning standards set by the company and local health authorities.

Support & Special Projects

• Support the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef with menu prep, tastings, and special events.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 2 to 3 years of kitchen experience, including time as a Commis II or similar role.
• Culinary diploma or certificate is an advantage; further training or certification is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety.
• Able to lead a section and work well under pressure.
