Role Purpose

The primary responsibility is to service the banking and financing needs of international Mid-Market clients in cooperation with Senior Relationship Managers, while deepening existing client relationships and acquiring and onboarding new commercial banking clients.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

• Build relationships with Citi network and operational teams, becoming a key contact for client requests, internal requests, escalations and resolution.
• Work closely with Senior Relationship Managers to ensure a Client First approach and deliver outstanding day-to-day banking and operational support to Mid-Market clients.
• Support Senior Relationship Manager calls on clients, assisting with preparation and diligence.
• Analyze client relationships, risks and opportunities to identify opportunities for deepening engagement.
• Ability to build and develop strong client relationships.
• Collaborate effectively with Senior Relationship Managers and Commercial Banking partners.

Portfolio & Client Management

• Support Senior Relationship Manager in management of assigned client portfolio.
• Administrate the credit relationship of clients, ensuring proper application of policies and institutional processes.
• Monitor and support products' implementation processes and client onboarding process.

Credit & Deal Support

• Assist with credit application write-up, financial spreading, deal structuring and returns calculation.
• Review and prepare credit documentation.
• Develop analytical and credit skills.

Sales & Solutions

• Support Senior Relationship Managers on solution assessment, preparation of pitch books and meeting materials.
• Assist with new client acquisition.
• Manage sales Customer Relationship Management platform.

Product Knowledge

• Understand key commercial banking processes and solutions, including Transactional Banking, FX, Trade, Treasury, Working Capital and Lending products.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation.
• Safeguard Citigroup, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
• Adhere to Policy and apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices.
• Escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency.

Qualifications & Experience

• 2–5 years of experience
• Previous banking experience required
• Working experience within Commercial or Corporate banking desirable
• Experience in a Client Relationship role or client-facing role
• Bachelor's degree or University degree or equivalent experience
• UAE National status required

• Sales, presentation and communication skills with focus on first-class service quality

• High level of self-motivation
• Knowledge of general banking processes and general understanding of commercial banking solutions
• Proficiency with Microsoft and Customer Relationship Management applications
