Role Purpose

Support Business Development through market research and data analysis reporting for the energy industry, with focus on oil and gas and Green/Sustainable Energy. Recognize market trends and provide purposeful, accurate insights to assist the Team Head in strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Marketing and Bid Support

• Engage in Pre-Marketing phase activities including market research and analysis of potential projects to inform participation decisions.
• Coordinate with clients through Expression of Interest (EOI) stage responses, provide clarifications, and submit bids via email or client platforms.
• Develop pre-qualification documentation.
• Assist with bid preparation.
• Assist in the development of marketing plans.

Market Research and Analysis

• Monitor, forecast and compile in report format regarding MENA (Middle East & Africa) regional oil and gas trends, including national and international oil companies, refinery and petrochemical companies' investment plans, operations, major partnerships with global energy companies, asset divestments, management changes, restructurings and reorganizations.
• Gather project intelligence and conduct follow-ups.
• Monitor, forecast and compile in report format regarding engineering and construction firms and technology licensors.
• Conduct periodic updates of oil and gas value chains per country within the MENA region.
• Research major industry trends and impacts, including economic and political issues surrounding the MENA region.
• Conduct research on specific market conditions.
• Gather data on consumers, competitors and market conditions.

Reporting and Data Presentation

• Prepare reports using MS Word and PowerPoint formats.
• Devise and evaluate methods for data collection.
• Simplify complex data into user-friendly formats such as graphs, charts and other visual aids.
• Prepare and present reports to management.

Information Management

• Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field (essential).
• Experience researching and formulating data analysis reports for the energy industry in a broad sense, focused on oil and gas and Green/Sustainable Energy.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent MS Office user with advanced reporting skills in Word and PowerPoint.
