Coating supervisor ( Oil & Gas Industry)

Role Overview

ABIS is seeking a Coating Supervisor for Oil & Gas industry projects. The role is based on-site and involves overseeing the application of coatings to infrastructure and equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.

Role Purpose

Direct coating crews and coordinate with quality control teams to deliver coating operations that meet project specifications, safety standards, and quality assurance requirements within the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Supervision

• Supervise day-to-day coating operations to ensure timely and quality completion.
• Conduct inspections to monitor surface preparation, coating application, and curing processes.
• Identify and resolve issues during coating operations to minimize downtime.

Coordination & Compliance

• Coordinate with site engineers, QA/QC teams, and contractors to fulfill project requirements.
• Ensure all coating activities adhere to safety policies and environmental regulations.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to coating works.

Training & Team Development

• Train and mentor coating crew members to improve performance and compliance with procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Coating Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience supervising coating activities in the oil and gas industry.
• In-depth knowledge of coating materials, surface preparation, and application techniques.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as NACE and SSPC.
