Role Overview

Cloud Engineer/Specialist at BlackStone eIT. The role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure across major cloud platforms and ensuring optimal performance and security of cloud environments.

Role Purpose

To design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform while implementing automation, security best practices, and cost optimization strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Design & Deployment

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Manage cloud networking, storage, compute, and security services.

Operations & Monitoring

• Monitor cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues.
• Optimize cloud resources to improve performance and reduce costs.

Automation & DevOps

• Automate deployment and operational processes using CI/CD pipelines.

Business Continuity & Compliance

• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and industry security standards.

Collaboration

• Collaborate with DevOps, developers, and security teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or system administration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Linux and Windows server administration.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of networking concepts including DNS, VPN, Load Balancers, and Firewalls.
• Scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Infrastructure automation tools: Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Containerization platforms: Docker and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
