Clinical Instructor (UAE Nationals only)

Role Overview

Clinical Instructor in the College of Dentistry at Ajman University, located in the United Arab Emirates. This position is open to UAE Nationals only and begins Spring 2025–2026.

Role Purpose

Support faculty in delivering safe, stimulating dental education through classroom assistance, teaching aid development, student guidance, and facilitation of learning activities that reinforce clinical and theoretical concepts.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning Support

• Provide support to faculty to ensure a safe and stimulating educational environment.
• Assist faculty in planning, preparation, and implementation of daily teaching and learning activities.
• Present subject matter to students under the guidance of a faculty member, utilizing methods including discussions and role-playing.
• Assist students individually or in groups with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts.

Instructional Materials Development

• Assist faculty in planning, preparing, and developing various teaching aids for use in the classroom.
• Plan, prepare, and develop various teaching aids for use in classroom, including activity sheets, drawings, and similar handouts.
• Prepare instructional aids and plans.

Research & Projects

• Help students and researchers in the college in conducting experiments, research, and projects.

Student & Faculty Support

• Assist faculty in activities related to student advising.
• Provide activities for students that encourage learning abilities.
• Provide a supportive and caring environment for students.

Community & Institutional Engagement

• Participate in Community Engagement services.
• Participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation.

General Duties

• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Hold a Master Degree in a related field from a reputed university.
• Minimum 2–3 years' experience.
• Teaching experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Hold an active practice license in UAE (MOHAP/DHA/DOH).
