Role Purpose
As a Chef de Partie, you are responsible for daily food preparation and assigned duties that meet set standards and quality across the kitchen operation.
Key Responsibilities
Menu & Preparation
- Prepare menus in collaboration with team members.
- Prepare daily mise-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen.
- Prepare ingredients that should be frequently available, including vegetables and spices.
Operations & Station Management
- Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations.
- Optimize the cooking process with attention to speed and quality.
- Maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation.
Leadership & Guidance
- Follow the guidance of the executive or sous chef and provide input on new ways of presentation or dishes.
- Instruct and lead subordinates through their daily requirements in food preparation.
- Actively take part in setting up and supervising buffets and special functions.
Standards & Compliance
- Enforce strict health and hygiene standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven work experience as a Chef De Partie.
- Previous experience in a large hotel with at least 500 keys in a luxury property required.
- Pre-opening experience is an advantage.
