Role Purpose

Oversee the preparation of high-quality dishes and supervise kitchen operations to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and food quality while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Quality

• Season, cook, and test dishes according to standard recipes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
• Monitor ingredient quality, ensuring proper storage and stock rotation.
• Maintain compliance with food quality and storage standards.

Team Supervision & Support

• Oversee line cooks to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
• Provide support as needed in the absence of senior chefs.

Kitchen Operations

• Keep all work areas clean, tidy, and free of cross-contamination.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Financial Management

• Contribute to controlling food costs and improving gross profit margins.
• Work toward meeting departmental financial targets.

Regulatory Compliance

• Uphold regulatory standards including health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations.
• Ensure the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing.
