Role Purpose

To maintain and repair all carpentry, joinery, and furnishings throughout the resort, ensuring guest areas and building infrastructure are safe, functional, and in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair

• Perform repair and maintenance of all carpentry and joinery works.
• Execute minor repairs and replacements to all hinges and door closures.
• Maintain and repair all furnishings, including chairs, tables, and cabinets.
• Carry out minor constructions and installations as required.
• Work with materials including wood, fibre-board, Formica, glass, and plasterboard.

Safety & Compliance

• Report any potential hazards noted while on duty.
• Use appropriate safety clothing and equipment in accordance with maintenance instructions from the Head of Department.
• Strictly adhere to hotel safety, risk management, and emergency policies and procedures.
• Follow all department and hotel policies and procedures.

Inventory & Documentation

• Provide the Store Controller with accurate information to facilitate stock control of materials.

Appearance & Housekeeping

• Ensure the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair.
• Maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering a Guest Area, and change into a clean uniform if necessary unless it is an emergency.
• Keep working area tidy and in good order.

Support & Development

• Assist other personnel in emergencies and carry out other Engineering duties as required by the Assistant Chief Engineer and according to departmental needs.
• Attend on-job and off-job trainings when assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical certification in Carpentry.
• 2–5 years of experience in hotel or building maintenance.
• Knowledge of water systems, pumps, and sanitary installations.

Skills & Competencies

• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work shifts and respond to emergencies.
