Role Purpose

To provide skilled carpentry support for layout, installation, repair, finishing, and maintenance of various structures, fixtures, and buildings. This position works alongside the Facilities Engineer to design, cut, and measure materials according to ASPM requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Execution and Installation

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and design plans.
• Measure, cut, and shape wood, metal, and other materials according to specifications.
• Use hand and power tools, such as saws, drills, and sanders, to create or modify structures.
• Assemble and install framework, cabinets, shelves, doors, and other wooden or metal components.
• Install and repair building fixtures, such as windows, stairs, and molding.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on site.
• Promote a safe working environment for all team members.

Collaboration and Documentation

• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure project specifications are met.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and time spent on each project.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency with hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and sanders.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and design plans.
• Skill in measuring, cutting, and shaping materials.
• Knowledge of building fixtures and installation techniques.
