Role Purpose

To develop the next generation of Emirati pilots through a comprehensive two-year cadet training programme that combines theoretical knowledge, simulation, and practical flying experience, ensuring candidates meet all regulatory and safety standards required to operate as commercial airline pilots.

Key Responsibilities

Training Commitment

• Complete a structured two-year training programme to obtain necessary flight qualifications.
• Participate in ground school within the UAE and overseas.
• Undertake flight simulator training.
• Conduct practical flying training under supervision.
• Obtain the Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) upon completion of required flying hours.

Safety and Compliance

• Adhere to Etihad's 'Safety First, Always' approach and perfect safety record in flight operations.
• Train in and maintain compliance with safety protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements at all times.

Professional Development

• Work alongside experienced instructor pilots who provide mentoring and support throughout the training journey.
• Develop personal and professional capabilities required to begin a successful flying career.

Qualifications & Experience

• UAE National status required.
• Aged 18–29.
• Minimum height of 160 cm.
• High school diploma with an overall minimum grade of 80%, including passing grades in Mathematics and Physics, or Higher education qualification (Bachelor's or Master's degree).
• Minimum IELTS score of 5.5 or minimum EmSAT English score of 1250.
• Completed or permanent exemption from UAE National Service at the time of application (males only).

Additional Information

Compensation and Salary Progression

• AED 5,000 monthly salary during the two-year training period.
• Upon completing License Skill Test (LST): AED 16,667 plus variable allowances for six months.
• Upon completing line training under supervision (LFUS): AED 24,000 plus variable allowances.
• Step increments for four years, capped at AED 34,000 per month.
• Upon obtaining Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) and promotion to Senior First Officer (SFO): AED 39,853 monthly salary.
