Role Overview

Butcher at Majid Al Futtaim, Hypermarket UAE. The Butcher is responsible for mincing, meat marination, and preparing required portions of meat in line with customer requirements, section operating standards, and hygiene control procedures. The role holder is also responsible for weighing meat, wrapping it, and putting it out for display.

Role Purpose

Deliver high-quality meat preparation and customer service by applying proper cutting and processing techniques, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring accurate presentation and availability of meat products in the display counter.

Key Responsibilities

Meat Preparation & Processing

• Apply proper meat preparation, cutting, and processing techniques according to customer requests and company standard operating procedures.
• Perform mincing and meat marination as required.
• Prepare portions of meat in line with customer requirements.

Display & Inventory Management

• Wrap, weigh, label, and price meat cuts accurately and efficiently.
• Arrange and replenish meat products in display counters following presentation standards.
• Conduct daily checks to identify, remove, and record waste, expired, or damaged products.

Customer Service

• Assist customers promptly and professionally, providing product information and recommendations.
• Promote additional products and stay updated on current promotions and store offers.

Health, Safety & Equipment Management

• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures throughout daily operations.
• Operate, clean, and sanitize all butchery equipment in a safe and correct manner.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a similar role.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• Basic English reading, writing, and interpretation skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to adapt and work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Excellent listening skills with high attention to detail.
