Breathing Apparatus / Nitrogen - BA/N2 Technician

Role Overview

ABIS is seeking a qualified Breathing Apparatus / Nitrogen - BA/N2 Technician to manage and maintain breathing apparatus and nitrogen equipment to ensure safety compliance on site.

Role Purpose

The technician will be responsible for the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of breathing apparatus and nitrogen systems used in hazardous environments, particularly within the oil and gas industry. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and adherence to strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Testing

• Perform regular inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of breathing apparatus and nitrogen equipment.
• Conduct equipment calibration and troubleshooting to maintain operational readiness.

Compliance & Safety Standards

• Ensure all BA and nitrogen systems comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and equipment status.

Emergency Support & Training

• Provide support during emergency drills and real incidents by preparing and supplying breathing apparatus and nitrogen systems.
• Train personnel in the correct use and care of breathing apparatus and nitrogen systems.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with safety and operational teams to ensure compliance and safe work environments.
• Work closely with health and safety teams to support safe operations and emergency preparedness.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical diploma or certification in relevant fields such as safety equipment maintenance, mechanical or electrical.
• Previous experience working with breathing apparatus and nitrogen systems, preferably in oil and gas or industrial settings.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to breathing apparatus and compressed gases.
