Role Purpose

To perform troubleshooting, diagnostic, inspection, maintenance, and repair work on Blowout Preventer (BOP) systems and associated high-pressure control equipment to ensure safe and reliable wellbore operations.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection and Diagnostics

• Conduct BOP inspections using testing and diagnostic tools.
• Perform strong troubleshooting and diagnostic work on mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Analyze BOP system failures using strong analytical skills.
• Execute root cause analysis on equipment problems.

Maintenance and Testing

• Operate hydraulic pressure testing units and BOP test pumps.
• Work with high-pressure control systems and subsea equipment.
• Competence in preventive maintenance programs.
• Manage computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Technical Expertise

• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Demonstrate understanding of rig operations and well control principles.
• Apply problem-solving skills to resolve equipment issues.

Team and Development

• Train and mentor junior technicians.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively in team environments and consider alternative and diverse perspectives.

Safety and Compliance

• Maintain commitment to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) best practices.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Working knowledge of rig operations and well control principles.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in using hydraulic pressure testing units and BOP test pumps.
• Proficiency in using testing and diagnostic tools for BOP inspections.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Ability to work with high-pressure control systems and subsea equipment.
