Role Overview

BIM Modeller at NMDC Group. The role delivers all 3D and BIM models for various projects using industry-leading software based on project requirements.

Role Purpose

Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for construction and engineering projects. Collaborate with designers and engineers to produce coordinated models, drawings, and project documentation while ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Modeling & Design

• Provide CAD drafting and create 3D models using industry-leading software such as Civil 3D, Revit, Naviswork, 3ds Max, and SketchUp.
• Create and manage BIM families, components, and templates.
• Incorporate design changes and updates into the BIM models as directed.
• Align 3D models as advised by Project Control Manager and Planning Engineer for 4D/5D planning.

Coordination & Clash Resolution

• Assist in resolving clashes by coordinating with other disciplines and making necessary adjustments to the BIM models.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve clashes and coordinate design elements.
• Participate in regular coordination meetings and interdisciplinary workshops to address clashes and conflicts.

Drawing Production & Documentation

• Generate accurate and high-quality 2D drawings and documentation from the BIM models.
• Ensure consistency and adherence to project standards in extracted drawings.
• Review and verify the accuracy of extracted drawings before submission.

Standards & Process Improvement

• Adhere to established BIM standards, protocols, and best practices within the organization and industry.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and guidelines for BIM modeling and coordination.
• Collaborate with the BIM team to develop and enhance BIM workflows and processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical, Civil, Construction, Architecture, or Structural), or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in BIM modelling in similar industries.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit, Naviswork, 3ds Max, and SketchUp.
• ACC, Revit, Civil 3D, and Naviswork software certificates are preferred.
