Role Overview

Bartender position at Marriott International. This role is part of the Guest Service Expert team, delivering beverage service and hospitality experiences across Marriott properties.

Role Purpose

Create memorable and unique guest experiences by delivering quality beverage service, taking initiative to anticipate guest needs, and ensuring every transaction feels like part of a broader hospitality experience.

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery

• Serve beverages and manage guest transactions with professionalism and attention to detail.
• Interact with guests to understand preferences and deliver personalized service.
• Communicate with kitchen and bar team to coordinate orders and timing.

Operations & Standards

• Maintain a clean and organized bar work area and supplies.
• Uphold quality standards in all aspects of service.
• Follow company policies and procedures consistently.
• Create a safe workplace environment.

Appearance & Professionalism

• Maintain a professional uniform and personal appearance at all times.
• Communicate professionally with guests and colleagues.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No licenses or certifications required.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to read and visually verify menu and order information.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods, including over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Initiative and proactive problem-solving.
• Guest-focused service orientation.
