B2 Avionics Technician

Role Overview

B2 Avionics Technician at Airbus Helicopters Arabia for Aircraft Maintenance. This is a fixed-term position in the Systems Installation job family.

Role Purpose

Ensure optimal service support for maintenance and flight line activities to achieve excellent fleet availability with the highest quality and safety standards. Perform detailed inspection, assembly, installation, repair, replacement, and refurbishment of aircraft components and systems, along with function checks and on-the-job training as required.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Safety

• Comply with all Aviation, Safety, Quality and Export Control Regulations and Procedures.
• Comply with all Airbus Helicopters Management Systems, Policies and Regulations.
• Check tools and Ground Support Equipment for condition and expiration date before starting any maintenance activity and ensure their correct use.
• Check components and parts for condition (damages, leaks, etc.) before starting any maintenance activity and verify documentation applicability.
• Train personnel in all safety directives and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) procedures.
• Demonstrate awareness of potential compliance risks and commit to acting with integrity.

Maintenance & Inspection

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the helicopter fleet within a customer environment.
• Undertake aircraft maintenance, repair and inspection tasks, quality checks and documentation completion in accordance with Company and Customer procedures.
• Perform electrical assembly, integration and modification, system repairs, first level Quality inspection and functional tests of aircraft and components.
• Conduct checkouts of avionic instrument and flight control systems and components, including repairs, overhauls, modifications, alignments and installation.
• Inspect avionic instrument and flight control systems.
• Analyze performance and isolate malfunctions of integrated avionic instrument and flight control systems.

Quality & Documentation

• Ensure that all work performed is recorded on the appropriate paperwork and signed for on a progressive basis.
• Ensure the correct use and control of aircraft parts and materials.
• Verify aircraft status regarding scheduled tasks and deferred items is updated, the aircraft condition is serviceable and sign the Release to Service of the aircraft.

Teamwork & Management

• Work as part of a team.
• Perform duties as assigned by the Site Manager, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely fashion and meets the delivery quality requirements of Airbus.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Conduct on-the-job training activity.
• Train personnel on the use of maintenance manuals.

Qualifications & Experience

• Practical working experience in H215 (AS532 ALE) is mandatory.
