B2 Avionics Technician

Role Overview

B2 Avionics Technician with Airbus Defense and Space, Airbus Helicopters Arabia for Aircraft Maintenance. Employment type: Fixed term.

Role Purpose

Ensure optimal service support for maintenance and flight line activities to achieve excellent fleet availability with highest quality and safety standards. Perform detailed inspection, assembly, installation, repair and replacement of aircraft components and systems, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, refurbishing and function checks of components.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance and Safety

• Comply with all Aviation, Safety, Quality and Export Control Regulations and Procedures.
• Comply with all Airbus Helicopters Management Systems, Policies and Regulations.
• Train personnel in all safety directives and FOD procedures.
• Demonstrate awareness of potential compliance risks and commit to act with integrity as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Maintenance and Repair

• Work as part of a team performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the helicopter fleet within a customer environment.
• Undertake individually or as part of a team aircraft maintenance, repair and inspection tasks.
• Perform electrical assembly, integration and modification, system repairs, first level Quality inspection and functional tests of aircraft and components.
• Conduct checkouts of avionic instrument and flight control systems and components, including repairs, overhauls, modifications, alignments and installation.

Quality Checks and Documentation

• Complete quality checks and documentation in accordance with Company and Customer procedures.
• Check tools and GSE for condition and expiration date before starting any maintenance activity and ensure their correct use.
• Check components and parts for conditions (damages, leaks etc.) and verify applicability of documentation before starting any maintenance activity.
• Inspect avionic instrument and flight control systems.
• Ensure that all work performed is recorded on appropriate paperwork and signed for on a progressive basis.
• Perform first level Quality inspection.

Systems Analysis and Troubleshooting

• Analyze performance and isolate malfunctions of integrated avionic instrument and flight control systems.

Material and Aircraft Control

• Ensure the correct use and control of aircraft parts and materials.
• Verify aircraft status regarding scheduled tasks and deferred items is updated.
• Verify aircraft condition is serviceable and sign the Release to Service of the aircraft.

Training and Development

• Perform on-the-job training activity.
• Train personnel on the use of maintenance manuals.
• Conduct on-the-job training as required on location.

General

• Perform duties as assigned by the Site Manager, ensuring all work is completed in a timely fashion and meets the delivery quality requirements of Airbus.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Practical working experience in Dauphins/Panther (AS365).
