Role Purpose

Support the learning and development of young children as an essential member of the kindergarten team. Create a positive and engaging learning environment through assistance with curriculum implementation, child supervision, observation and documentation, and collaborative teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Group Support

• Support the lead educator in implementing age-appropriate curricula and activities.
• Provide individual care and support for children as needed.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the classroom.

Supervision and Safety

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children during all activities.
• Supervise children during play time, mealtimes and other daily routines.

Assessment and Documentation

• Assist with observation and assessment of children's learning progress and behaviour.
• Maintain accurate records of each child's development.
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's achievements and challenges.

Collaboration

• Work with the lead educator and other team members to plan and organise activities.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the kindergarten programme.
• Work closely with parents to build strong communication and partnership in the child's learning journey.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting.
• Basic understanding of child development and early childhood education principles.
• Good knowledge of the German language.
